1. General Information

Uncle Sam Vintage offers Grade A second-hand clothing (please refer to our Sizing / Condition page for more details on Grade A clothing).

To ensure compliance with Canadian Consumer Protection laws, every garment undergoes professional laundering and a rigorous quality assurance process. Each item is measured to provide an accurate representation of its current size. For sizing specifics, please refer to our Sizing / Condition page.

We guarantee that all garments meet satisfactory quality standards, are fit for their intended purpose, and are accurately described. Minor fading, fabric wear, and distressing are to be expected.

In the event of a faulty or damaged item, customers have the right to contact us for resolution in accordance with our Return & Refund Policy.


2. Returns and Non-Faulty Goods

The cost of returning non-faulty goods is the customer’s responsibility unless otherwise agreed.
Only returns authorized via email will be processed.

Uncle Sam Vintage reserves the right to refuse unauthorized returns or returns that fall outside the conditions specified in our policies.


3. Sizing

Given that our collection features vintage and second-hand clothing, garments may lack original size tags or have changed in size due to age-related wear such as shrinking or stretching.

Our curators individually measure each item and assign a corresponding “fits as” size.

For legwear, sizing is based on the original tagged size, usually found on the back tab (e.g., Levi’s) or inner care label.

When placing an order, we recommend taking a look at the provided measurements if unsure, to ensure a comfortable fit.


4. Condition

We offer Grade C-B-A vintage items.
Grade A vintage pieces may show minor signs of age, such as light fading, fabric wear, or distressing — all of which contribute to their unique character and authenticity.

Each garment undergoes professional laundering, authentication, condition assessment, and sizing verification before being carefully packed and shipped.


5. Shipping

Canada (Domestic): 5–10 business days*
(*Larger orders may require up to 14 working days for curation.)

United States & Mexico: 1–2 weeks
Rest of World: 2–3 weeks

Import duties, customs fees, or taxes for international orders may be required by your destination country; the buyer is responsible for these charges.

6. Compliance and Dispute Resolution

Uncle Sam Vintage is committed to complying with all applicable Canadian and Québec consumer protection laws.

If you believe we have not fulfilled our obligations or if you encounter an issue, please contact us immediately. We aim to resolve all matters directly and efficiently.

If necessary, disputes may be brought before the Office de la protection du consommateur (Québec) or other relevant authorities.
